• In emergency settings where patients may have undiagnosed respiratory infections (e.g., COVID-19, Tuberculosis, or multi-drug resistant germs), the WM 28740 ensures that the ambient air pulled into the ventilator is sterile before reaching the patient.

• By filtering the air at the device inlet, it prevents the internal turbine and sensors from being contaminated by fluids, dust, or microbes. This reduces the need for complex internal disinfection and extends the mechanical life of the ventilator.
